Launch 1 Recall Instructions

  • This is for those who purchased a Bambi Bag during our 1st launch.  
  • This applies to you if you have a physical Bambi Bag on hand with you right now.
  • This does not apply to you if you ordered but have yet received your order (e.g. custom embroidered orders).

It has come to my attention that all canvas bags during the 1st launch did not receive reinforced stitching. This was an unfortunate error during the production process. 

I deeply apologise for any inconvenience you've experienced and I'm fully committed to ensuring your utmost satisfaction with your Bambi Bag. When I launched Bambi Bags, my goal was to establish a brand that exemplifies the highest standards of quality, integrity, and transparency. This is my way of saying sorry and making things right for you.

There are 2 options you can pick, please read the option and select which one you prefer when you go through our easy return/exchange portal here.

You have 14 days to decide which option to take, if you have not selected an option by 27/10/23 Friday 5:00pm AEST we will automatically issue a 20% refund.

If you decide not to get stitching reinforced, we will not be liable for damaged/faulty items after issuing this refund statement.


Option 1: A 20% refund on your order to cover the costs of getting the stitching reinforced with a seamstress/alteration.

With this option we strongly recommend you get it reinforced with a seamstress/alteration person. If you or a family/friend have a sewing machine and experience, this can easily be done in less than 5-10 minutes on the spot.

This is preferable for those who want to quickly rectify the issue.

If you decide not to get it reinforced, we will not be liable for damaged/faulty items after issuing this refund.

Option 2: You can send back the canvas bag and we fix it up for you.

With this option you will cover the cost of returning it to us and we cover the costs of fixing it and returning it back to you. 

This may take up to 4-6 weeks of waiting time as it depends on how long it takes for us to receive your returned order, time for our seamstress to fix the bag, and handling and shipping after it's been fixed. If you do not want to wait, we recommend choosing option 1.

Please write on a piece of paper or on the satchel your order name and number so we know who it's from. 

We recommend using a tracked service, such as Australia Post. We are not liable for items lost in transit.

Why do I need to get stitching reinforced?

While most of you have a working bag, it is only a matter of time that the threads on the handles will slowly come apart. 

Reinforced stitching is important as it prevents the handles from falling off the bag, without reinforced stitching you run the risk of your handles falling apart, making your bag unusable. However, this doesn't mean it can't be fixed - the handles can be sewn and reinforced at your local seamstress/alterations.

Option 1: What to show and request at your seamstress/alteration:

"The green areas needs reinforced stitching, or more specifically a straight stitch or bar tack stitching method."

Option 2: Return Address

Return the canvas bag ONLY. You can keep the felt insert and calico drawstring bag.

We highly advise that your exchange/return parcel is sent with a trackable service as we are unable to guarantee that we will receive the parcel back.
